Election Coverage 2010 - Monday 24 MAY 2010 - 10:10AM

During my drive up to work today, I passed about 4-5 schools that were polling stations. It seems that many voters from south have been up early today going to vote. Passing along the highway, there were many cars (as a usual workday would have). In Chaguanas, the red fingers could be seen as well.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the younger voters were out in full force. In fact, at one of the schools, there seemed to be more younger voters than older voters which I never expected to see.

Many have been saying this is going to be a very close election and this is the time more than ever that you should take the time to go out to vote. Whether its the PNM or UNCOP - your vote can make a difference. For the many of you that can't decide, I need to re-iterate that there'll never be a "perfect" party but you have to choose the lesser of the two "evils" perhaps. Whether you vote or not, you pay tax which means you pay these people to make your country better, think about it... SO.... VOTE.

I'll be out on the road again from 12:30 to 1:30 which means you might be able to see an update again around 3pm.

Later this evening, I will be following the coverage with friends and family and I'll try to set up a live statistics on TriniNation.com and perhaps here.

Stay tuned!
