This post is not just for Risharde's FREE DNS Hosting but always for my blog and other hosted websites. Nevertheless, RDNS benefits from it.

I am pleased to announce that rDNS as well as my other sites are now running on its own separate Virtual Private Server (VPS) and though there were minor hickups on the provisioning webhosting company, I've gotten it up and running and all seems to be well. The performance is as good as HostGator where I hosted before but their prices were high relative to what could be used on the server. Thus, I decided to get the VPS where I can pretty much run what I want to run.

I also installed AWSTATS from the ground up and I must tell you, its a lot harder than using Cpanel to do everything. In fact, this VPS isn't running an control panel per say and I thought this was good because it reduces some of the security risks involved with a shared hosting environment (or so I hope).

Not sure what I'll be adding next but as I am writing this news update, some ideas come to mind.
