Scholarships from the Government eh?
I refer to the Trinidad Express Article I GOT NO MONEY
The last paragraph shows some interesting information:
"Among those who have been given assistance is one present Government Senator, Laurel Lezama, who received $454,650 in assistance for studies in England from 2004-2006; Paige De Leon, who is the communications manager at the Office of the Prime Minister, and journalists Jerome Lewis (I95FM), Curtis Williams (CNMG) and former TV journalist Odeka O’Neil."
Half a Million dollars in assistance, imagine that! I have to wonder if these people were so poor that they could not afford tertiary education because I certainly know poor people who may have needed this assistance and there's something else I notice about those names but I won't say it here.
